Determination of Magnesium concentration in process water
Magnesium analysis allows the quantification of Mg concentration in the wash waters of galvanic processes. Monitoring the amount of magnesium in water is important to ensure the high quality standards of the electroplating industry required by the market.
Method
Test type: End Point.
Testing time: immediate reading.
Analysis sessions with multiple samples are possible up to a maximum of 16 tests for CDR GalvanLab® and 3 tests for CDR GalvanLab® Junior.
Sample treatment
The sample can be used as is.
Principle of the test
Mg2+ ions react with the chromogen in the reagent and generate colored complexes whose measured absorbance is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.
Calibration curve
Calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
