Determination of Gold in Gold Flash bath
The analysis of the gold concentration in Gold Flash plating baths is crucial to optimize the electrodeposition parameters (e.g. time, deposit thickness), ensuring uniform deposits (0.2-0.3 µm) and preventing aesthetic or functional defects in the finished products. Determining the quantity of gold ensures high yield and compliance with environmental regulations. A punctual control on the bath allows to precisely monitor the gold concentration, avoiding losses of the precious metal and reducing waiting times for analysis and corrections.
Method
Test type: End Point.
Testing time: 1 minute.
Analysis sessions with multiple samples are possible up to a maximum of 16 tests for CDR GalvanLab® and 3 tests for CDR GalvanLab® Junior.
Sample treatment
The sample can be used as is.
Principle of the test
Gold content is determined by its reaction with a chromogen that develops a coloration, the optical intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of Au in the analyzed sample.
Calibration curve
Calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
