Determination of Calcium concentration in process water
Calcium analysis makes it possible to quantify the concentration of Ca2+ in galvanic process wash waters. Monitoring the amount of calcium in water is important to ensure the high quality standards of the electroplating industry required by the market.
Method
Test type: End Point.
Testing time: 2 minutes.
Analysis sessions with multiple samples are possible up to a maximum of 16 tests for CDR GalvanLab® and 3 tests for CDR GalvanLab® Junior.
Sample treatment
The sample can be used as is.
Principle of the test
Calcium ions react with the chromogen in the reagent and generate colored complexes, whose absorbance measured at 580 nm is proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.
Calibration curve
Calibration curve was obtained by correlating the CDR method with the reference method.
